Demolition In Vancouver Goes Wrong Way

Questions are being asked today about the safety practices of a Vancouver demolition company that was taking down a building in downtown Vancouver…

These you tube videos show the building falling outwards, the safety gates getting squished and people running to get out of the way.

A pedestrian and a car were the intended targets yet everyone has escaped without injury.

The excavator then continued to demolition the building and the last section of the wall also fell outwards, crushing the security fences as well as a street light.

The demolition incident occurred on the southeast corner of Hornby Street and Helmcken Street around 5:15 p.m. PT on Thursday.
